Looks like some under estimated the real value of a bunch of "Dirt Farmers" with a race track.

As they say, success breeds success ... even the Autos channel on the recently rejuvenated www.Sympatico.ca, Bell Canada's leading general interest portal, is throwing a thumbs up to the Saskatoon track.

Usually dominated by things Eastern (after all we all know Toronto is the center of the universe,) the editors have tipped the NASCAR Canadian Tires Series race in Saskatoon in Aug as one of the top ten motorsports events to attend in Canada in 2010.

That’s easy, just need to cross the following T’s
• Re-surface the track.
• Have a good business plan.
• Small upgrade to the tower and the stands, new washrooms
• Have a lease for more than 15 minutes to operate the facility.
• Have a sponsor and promoter who care about Oval Racing.
• Get the City onboard with long term goals and willing to extend a lease for many years to come.
• Get the City to realize Calgary it is an International City the benefits out way the negative.
• Have deep pockets or people with deep pockets willing to commit over the long term.

Then once all that is done approach CTNascar and they would jump at the chance to add that venue as a ½ half mile high banked in a City with a population over 1 million people. It’s a no brainer, full stands, great PR for the City, helps local business and tourism and puts Calgary back on the map of the civilized world.

i agree with everything said, except, less than 5% of the members of the sscra are farmers, and far greater than 5% of the members of the sscra would be heart broken to hear toronto is the center of the universe. lmfao
