Saskatoon.  SSCRA Grabs Award from Tourism Saskatchewan The awards recognize efforts to promote Saskatchewan as a tourism destination.
The Club was one of only 16
award
recipients
from
nearly
90
nominations.
The group's campaign to promote the NASCAR Canadian
Tire
Series event held in July of 2009 was the winner in the Promotional/Marketing
Campaign

sold
out
crowd
of
5,000
welcomed
NASCAR
to
the
Auto
Clearing
Motor
Speedway
for
the
first‐ever
NASCAR
Canadian
Tire
Series
Event.
With
the
tagline,
“Velocity
Prairie
Thunder,”
the
event’s
comprehensive
marketing
program
included
print
media,
radio,
television,
brochures,
highway
billboard
signs,
a website,
notices
attached
to
2009
race
schedules,
and
two
media
announcements
–
one
televised
on
TSN,
raising
the
profile
of
the
city
and
the
province.
The
racing
event
was
such
a
success
that
NASCAR
will
be
back
to
Auto
Clearing
Motor
Speedway
on
August
4.

Marysville, WA (March 13, 2010) - The 2010 iRacing.com ASA Northwest Late Model Tour season gets it's green flag on March 27, 2010 on Evergreen Speedway's .667-mile oval. The premier super late model stock car racing series, March opener at Monroe, Washington's Evergreen Speedway has been a long standing tradition dating back to the inception of the Northwest Tour in 1985. The Saturday evening race is scheduled for 125-laps on the series largest paved oval.  2010 tour starts on March 27th at Monroe, WA - Photo (C) ME Wright This will be the start of year two for the merged series. The new Northwest Late Model Tour is comprised of the former Late Model Challenge Series and the Northwest Tour. This season the series has 12 races on its 2010 schedule covering three Northwest States and Canada. The pre-registration format put in place in 2009 remains and is now open for the March 27 event. The pre-registration form is available on the series' web page at www.asanorthwestlatemodeltour.com As in the past this opener draws a lot of interest from the top drivers in the Northwest and Canada. Last year's opener had 34-cars pre-registered. The cone (Splitter) restarts that became so popular in 2009 will remain for the 2010 season along with the free pass. This year's series champion will add their name to a very prestigious list of champions such as: Garrett Evans, Gary Lewis, Pete Harding to name just a few. Kalispell, MT (March 11, 2010) - Officials with Montana Raceway Park have announced a partnership with Lucas Oil that gives the company signage at the high-bank paved oval in Western Montana and title sponsorship of the track's Super Late Model program.  It will be the Lucas Oil Super Late Models at MRP in 2010 For 2010 the division will be known as the Lucas Oil Super Late Models with defending champion, Alex Lessor, as one of many crowd favorites set to take part this season along with Bodie Morton, Mark Owens, Agni Howell, 2010 Rookie of the Year Forrest Bauer and Canadian drivers such as Clint Habart, Clayton Richert and Bill Royce. Also joining the division this year for a full-season run at the championship will be newcomer Ryan Wells and veterans such as Wrango West, Troy Schweigert and Billy Salmonsen. "To have Lucas Oil partner with Montana Raceway Park for 2010 is very exciting," said the facilities general manager and promoter, Justin Rody. "We look forward to showcasing their products to our fans and race teams and expect this inaugural season of the Lucas Oil Super Late Model division to be very competitive." The season gets underway on March 20 with a driver registration and information meeting beginning at 11 a.m. Open practice sessions are set for April 24 with five months of racing to follow. Drivers are encouraged to attend the registration session which is scheduled to be held at the Fun Beverage Conference Center just off Highway 93 on the south end of Kalispell. |
