I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best as you enjoy your traditions of the holiday season.

As many of us prepare for time with our families and look forward to a new year, I would like to acknowledge the many people who made 2007 a remarkable year for Late Model stock car racing in Western Canada.

To the race fans and spectators who came out to the track this year, thank you! I saw race fans carrying signs with their favorite driver's number on it. I talked with spectators that had traveled from Calgary to Saskatoon and to Medicine Hat just to watch us drive. There were near capacity shows at all of the venues on the tour. You are the best sports fans in the West!

To our many business partners, team sponsors and members of the media, your help in getting us on track all season long is sincerely appreciated. The growth we experienced this year was in a large part due to your commitment to our sport. We are coming off a very successful year and 2008 looks to be even more rewarding.

To our race track partners, you have been wonderful hosts. I would especially like to thank each one of the members of the club-run tracks, the Medicine Hat Auto Racing Association, the Saskatoon Stock Car Racing Association and the Kootenay Auto Racing Association. The tracks depend on their volunteers to git-r-done and we salute your efforts.

And lastly, to the teams, drivers and their families, thank you for a special year. Your support was truly amazing. Enjoy what is left of the off season and see you all on opening day!

On behalf of myself and all of us in the Administration offices, Rod Ormon (PR/Media), Joyce Brown (Operations) and Todd Swayze (Tech), I would like to wish the race fans, drivers, teams, sponsors and all of your families a happy and safe holiday season.
