Daryl Harr will be behind the wheel of the #2 WestWorld Computers Chevrolet at the season finale for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West on the 1 mile oval at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend. Saturday, Nov 12th will be a busy day for the 29 year old Edmonton driver as he will also look to start his fourth NASCAR Nationwide Series event of 2011 in the #02 WestWorld Chevrolet for owner - and dad - Carl Harr.
Coming off his 90th career NASCAR K&N Pro Series West start where he finished 8th at All American Speedway in Rosevile, CA, the 2002 CASCAR West Series champion will be getting his first look at the newly repaved and reconfigured Phoenix track where he has had three top tens in fifteen starts.
Cameron Hayley (Calgary, AB) will be making his Phoenix debut this weekend in his fourth NASCAR K&N Pro Series start. The pressure will be on the fifteen year-old #24 Cabinets By Hayley Toyota driver as he makes the transition from short tracks to one mile ovals. Hayley had a second place finish at his series debut at Montana Raceway Park in July and backed it up with third place in the last series outing at Roseville.
Hayley will drive the full NASCAR K&N Pro Series West schedule for Bill McAnally Motorsports in 2012.
SpeedTV will carry this weekend's race live on Saturday at 4:30pm Mountain.
Also on track this weekend are Canadians Carl Harr (Edmonton, AB) making his 48th career start in the #71 WestWorld Chevrolet and 34 year-old St Thomas, ON native and 2010 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion DJ Kennington in the #81 NPP Northern Provincial Pipeline/Whitemud Mechanical/Mahindra Tractors Toyota. Kennington will also be driving the #80 NPP Northern Provincial Pipelines/Clark Construction/Whitemud Mechanical Dodge in the NASCAR NAtionwide Series event.
