| Two ARCA West Drivers Nominated in Awards Poll |

Calgary, AB (February 19, 2009) - The 2008 ARCA West Mac's Series champion Trevor Emond, driver of the #17 Glentel Pontiac Grand Prix and newcomer Scott Dennis, #24 Antrim Construction Chevrolet Monte Carlo, have been named as finalists in the annual Readers Choice Awards from Inside Track Motorsport News magazine.  Voting is now open. Inside Track Motorsport News invites race fans everywhere to express their views on Canadian racing at the magazine's web site www.InsideTrackNews.com. Voting is now open and will be conducted entirely through the web site. In claiming the inaugural ARCA West Mac's Series title, the championship run for Emond included six top six finishes in eight races. His two second place finishes in the first two events were followed by back-to-back victories in Calgary, AB and Medicine Hat, AB , a top five in Montana and a podium third place in Saskatoon, SK in September. Emond also set two track records while grabbing three poles in 2008. In his first seaon in the ARCA West Mac's Series, newcomer Scott Dennis scored a victory in September in what will likely be the last ever Super Late Model race at Race City in Calgary, AB. The win came in just his fourth start and marked the second time the 21 year old driver had put the silver colored #24 Antrim Construction Chevrolet Monte Carlo in Victory Circle in 2008. Dennis had a B Main victory in the inaugural ARCA West Mac's Series event in May at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, SK. Nice work and good luck, guys! |
