You have spent the time and money on the car, crew and trailer now it’s time to give the car a once over and make your way on June 22 & June 23, to show your appreciation to those Sponsors who reach deep in their pockets so you can race and have fun.

We all know how good it feels to race on Saskatoon’s ACMS Class A Track, high banking, payment like a smooth drink on a hot day. Practice, qualifying, the characters in the pits, the friends from last year’s racing, the new friends we meet and the crowds. Then those little kids who want to sit in the seat if only for a brief moment and also the big kids who have never had the chance to be that close to a real SLM Race Car, should we let them down, no I don’t think those are memories these young kids hold forever and who knows may be the next SLM driver.

But most important is that feeling of lining up in a pack of 25 plus cars, with that thunderous noise of exhaust as we circle the track heating our tires up, coming out of 4 when that Green Flag drops, there is nothing that comes close that feeling in the world, the butterflies in your stomach seem to vanish, the sweat on your brow seems to dry up, and your now going thru 1 and then into 2 everyone sorting themselves out. You settle finally in your seat and now you are just inches from the car beside you with your foot depressed all the way, and now the only thing you hear is your spotters voice “inside, outside-clear” GENTLEMEN AND LADIES there is no other experience in life that feels that good. And even for a fan in the stands when those cars come around for lap #1 out of 4 that thunderous roar takes your breath away, as they pass down the front straight in a pack.

Listen guys, get it together make it work show up on June 22&23 and you will never regret it, and that I can tell you for sure, cause I have felt both sides of the race track spectator and driver it will be 2 days well spent, and it will be 2 days of PR “Large and Bold” and that is for your SPOINSORS……
