Saskatoon, SK (May 30, 2009) - Brian Johnson, Jr in the #76 SuperSeal Construction Products Chevrolet Impala SS grabbed the pole and led every lap of the WSSL Auto Parts 150 on his way to the first victory of the 2009 ARCA West Mac's Series Presented By SuperSeal Construction Products championship season.

The win marks back to back first place finishes for Johnson, Jr. (Machesney Park, IL) and Edmonton, AB based CCI Motorsports at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway. In the last visit by the touring Super Late Model series to the 3/8 mile oval in Saskatoon, SK, the victory by Johnson, Jr. was the first time a Saskatoon driver had not won the event.

Cowtown Motorsports driver Brian Levant was a solid second as he drove his #49 Dreams Take Flight Chevrolet Monte Carlo from a 10th place starting spot. The second consecutive podium follows Levant's win and first victory on the tour at Kings Park Speedway in Regina in the final event of the 2008 season and firmly establishes the Calgary based team as a force on the circuit.

Top finishing Saskatoon driver, Jeff Reimer scored his highest finish in an ARCA West Mac's Series Presented by SuperSeal Construction Products event when he put the #5 Wolfecroft Signs Dodge Charger on the podium in third. Known as The Wild Thing, Reimer has been involved in some spectacular incidents in previous tour events but this time he jumped 8 spots from his 11th place start to complete his breakthrough drive.

The large and partisan opening day crowd watched as the lead group of top qualifiers led by the front row cars of Johnson, Jr., Randy Thompson (Calgary, AB) in the #01 Mac's Motorsports Chevrolet and second row cars of Edmonton area Dynasty Motorsports teammates and siblings Aarron Dowler, #88 IEBW Local 424 Pontiac Grand Prix, and Rob Dowler, #4  DCM Pontiac Grand Prix, set a blistering pace that had group dicing through traffic during the long stretch of green flag racing that opened the main event.

Except for a brief yellow for debris on lap 26, the first 41 were green laps that saw the surging Levant slot in behind the leader Johnson, Jr. on lap 38. The order in the top five remained unchanged until lap 90 when Thompson had his car step out in turn 2 and collect Rob Dowler.

When the action resumed, home town favorite Trent Seidel, #70 LA Weight Loss Chevrolet Impala SS was in fourth behind the #09 Baja Bar & Grill Chevrolet Monte Carlo of Roy Wigley in third. The sophomore driver and two time Western Canada Super Truck Series champion, Wigley was looking for his best ARCA West Mac's Series finish as the main event stayed green for the last 48 laps.

But on lap 130, Greg Vangool had powered his #77 77 Signs Chevrolet Impala SS from a 20th place start and into 4th ahead of Seidel and started a three lap short-tracking duel with Wigley that ended with Wigley spinning into turn 2 on lap 136. Both drivers continued but fell to the end of the lead lap.

Glen Hertzke notched a top five after struggling in qualifying, starting the #14 SPI Security Chevrolet Impala SS in the last row of the feature event and improving 17 positions to finish in a fine 5th place.

Brian Johnson, Jr. will drive the #76 full time in the ARCA West Mac's Series 2009 season for CCI Motorsports. The driver will also run select dates for SuperSeal in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and started that assignment in the Menards 200 at Toledo, OH on May 17th in a Venturini Motorsports drive.
